Our Canada Post office has...been redecorated...
Seriously though, no way that this is even realistic of what American towns look like.

It’s obviously not a US post office since it’s not some variation of red brick box styling.

Flag at half-staff?
Mourning.....the front-engine Corvette?

It’s not really a town, more of a mailing address for a rural area , but this is what the post office looks like in the area I grew up in. Not quite so nice, or bunting filled.

I noticed that too. It is actually for Riverdale which is all filmed in Fort Langley. No idea what the story is

The movie hero better take out a baddie with a Canada Post Superbox, otherwise I’m gonna be unhappy.

That makes two of us. I’d Google it, but this conf call is almost over and I’m going to escape the keyboard and make margaritas.
What’s the Canadian version of ‘murica? Maybe just ‘Canamurica’?
Sounds like a Porsche model.

Found this in my home town post office parking lot.

Canadian version of Murica? Southern Alberta

The USPS office I go to doesn’t look like that!

That’s a large garbage can or a very small car

That PO looks foreign to me. The ones I go to are mostly red brick.

I'm going to use that next time I see someone wearing clothes that look like they're made out of the flag. If they understand what I'm saying I might not survive..

Prewar vs. postwar

I mean, maybe on the 4th of July, but I don’t usually see post offices decorated like that - maybe the city hall or the fire station.

That’s why most of you live so close to the border, right?

Why? and where?

I’ve seen a few brick ones on my journeys. This is just a half hour (and a border crossing) from my house. I send out things from there if I have to

On the rare occasion I actually need to visit a post office this is the one I choose.

Introducing my brothers to backpacking. Mostly in the backcountry or car camping in Banff National Park , with a day in Calgary on either end.

Ah, darn. I was hoping you were going to say Waterton. I'm going to be down that way over the next week.

I lol’d but it’s easy to forget how small Nash Ramblers are because so much for that era was so big - they are pretty much the same size as a modern Civic. Whenever I see one one the road (rare but has happened a few times ) I geek out about how small they are. Not quite as small as a M etropolitan but still smaller than just about any other American car from the 1950s.

This imaginary ‘ murrica is messing with my head. It’s so incongruous that it can’t exist in my mind. People go on about the US being obsessed with their flag, but it has nothing whatsoever on Canadians with their flag...
